Altar Server

The ministry of altar servers is open to boys and girls in 5th through 8th grade. Training normally begins at the end of the 4th-grade year, and all newly trained servers are scheduled for the 6:30am weekday Masses for some time, and then gradually introduced to the Sunday schedule.
Parents of children who are interested in becoming altar servers may complete the altar server enrollment form at any time.

Mass Captain
A Mass Captain (MC) is a high school male altar server who is expected to be especially familiar with the ordinary ceremonies of Mass and Vespers, as well as any special requirements that may arise from time to time, particularly on greater feast days and during Holy Week.
Mass Captains' duties include: opening the Missal to the appropriate page at various points in the Mass, handling incense when it is used, and arranging the sacred vessels on the altar for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Mass Captains are personally invited by the pastor toward the end of their 8th-grade year.
