Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. It involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us". During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist ... By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.
The "Monstrance" is the vessel used in the Church to display the consecrated Eucharistic Host, during Eucharistic adoration or benediction. We are happy to announce that our monstrance has recently been refinished and returned to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel.
Jesus said, "Could you not watch one hour with Me?" Jesus waits for us in the Blessed Sacrament. He waits for our little Acts of faith, adoration, love, thanksgiving, repentance, reparation and charity that we can offer Him as we contemplate -- His Divine Majesty -- in the Blessed Sacrament. Time spent in Adoration, can become the most profound, meaningful, joyful, peaceful and healing experience we could ever encounter! May our adoration never cease!
Perpetual Adoration began at Blessed Sacrament in 1983, under the direction of Father Bieberle. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed 24 hours a day, every day of the year, except Good Friday through Holy Saturday. The chapel is open to everyone, any time of day, for any length of time, but someone must be with our Eucharistic Lord at all times.
Individuals and families can commit to one hour each week on an ongoing basis, or two or more families/persons may share an hour if a weekly commitment is not possible. Names can also be added to the substitute list.
Are you willing to spend one hour once a week with Jesus, truly present in the chapel in the Blessed Sacrament? There are hours that need additional adorers on different days and times. The chapel is open to everyone, please visit our scheduling site and sign up for an hour with our lord.
