Praised Be Jesus Christ!
Because of your generosity—and the heartfelt support of so many in our parish family—something incredible is happening: We have almost reached our goal for the One Family, Fully Alive in Christcampaign. So far, Blessed Sacrament has received over $2 million in pledges—more than 60% of our $3.17 million goal. Thanks to your support of the Fully Alive! campaign, we are helping realize Bishop Kemme’s vision for our diocese and also making it possible for us to update Bishops Hall as well as make vital updates across our aging campus—from repairing air conditioning units to replacing the Commons’ roof.
For us, this isn’t just about fixing buildings. It’s about making present the goal for the diocesan campaign here at our parish: we want to be more and more One Family, Fully Alive in Christ. Our updates throughout our facility play a role in making the goal a reality.
So many of you have already helped to make that happen. But we’re not there yet. And we cannot do it without you. This coming week is the final stretch of our campaign. If you have not yet made your pledge, I ask that you please make a pledge this week.
Remember, the amount you were asked for is a goal, not an expectation. As Fr. Luke and I both mentioned when we kicked off the Fully Alive in Christ campaign, Please consider the amount you can give cheerfully - no matter the amount. Every pledge, large or small, helps our entire parish take part in something lasting.
During Masses this weekend we will have our conclusion to the fundraising aspect of the One Family, Fully Alive in Christ campaign. While the fundraising aspect winds down, the reality of what we seek continues: One Family, Fully Alive in Christ. Please do what you can to help us realize this goal in the diocese and for our Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Our Lady, Mother of the Church, pray for us.
Peace in Jesus and Mary,
Fr. Borkenhagen
Sharing our Gifts. Building up the Church.
Our diocese is at a pivotal time in its rich history. Under the leadership of Bishop Carl A. Kemme, the diocese has laid a foundation for the revitalization, renewal, and expansion of our mission and ministries. For several years, Bishop Kemme and diocesan leadership, along with clergy and lay leaders, have been discerning and planning the future of our local Church. This campaign is the fruit of that planning work and an opportunity for us to join together to address immediate needs and extend the impact of our mission while also strengthening all 90 parishes and 38 schools in our diocese, now and for many years to come.

Since Blessed Sacrament Kicked off the active phase of the Fully Alive! Campaign in April, we've had great questions from parishioners.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions.
When will we start seeing results from the campaign, both in our parish and across the diocese?
Exciting progress is already underway. Wave 3 parishes, including ours, will begin receiving funds next April, with 20% of the received gifts coming back to support our parish goals. Wave 1 parishes have received their first shares, all Teacher Endowments have received their first payment, and the In Love of God and Neighbor Fund has begun accepting applications and will award funds in July. Final fundraising results will be shared this summer.
What’s the plan for Bishops Hall, and why is it a priority?
Bishop’s Hall is being transformed into a warm, versatile space for parish-wide gatherings, faith formation, and community events. We are not simply renovating the building; we seek to deepen the spiritual development of those who enter it — creating a space that fosters connection, faith, learning, and communal celebration.
What is Camp Kapaun, and who will it serve?
Camp Kapaun is a year-round diocesan camp and retreat center designed for youth, families, and parish groups. Programs like Totus Tuus began last summer, and one parish has already hosted parish-run middle school retreat at the camp. With its ADA compliance and scholarship endowment, the grounds will be more accessible than ever, hosting Holy Family Camp and assisting those with financial difficulties.
How will the Teacher Endowment be distributed, and when will schools begin seeing support?
The Teacher Endowment received its initial investment this year and will continue receiving funds annually as pledges are redeemed. Funds are allocated to each school using a needs-based formula that considers school size, income levels, and other key factors. The goal is to support fair compensation for teachers and strengthen Catholic education throughout the diocese for generations to come.
